Dr. F. Bobby Atkins, affectionately known as Pastor Bobby, is the founding pastor of Truth Tabernacle of Praise (TToP).  This selfless mighty man of God oversees a racially diverse, multi-cultural, Spirit-filled church in Stone Mountain, GA.  From the pulpit, Pastor Bobby has often reflected on the two greatest days of his life.

The greatest day in Pastor Bobby’s life occurred on October 21st 1980, when he was gloriously saved at the Central Baptist Church, Hixon, TN. There, under the ministry of Dr. Ron Philips, he was also called to preach and ordained into the Gospel Ministry.

The second greatest day in Pastor Bobby’s life occurred on August 29th 1975 when he was married to TToP’s First Lady, Marie. Over the last 42 years, Bobby and Marie Atkins have been blessed to raise three wonderful children and spoil five fabulous grandchildren!

Over the years, Pastor Bobby has been privileged to pastor six churches and has preached extensively across the United States and around the world.  Internationally, he has pierced the darkness and advanced the Kingdom of God in the Bush of Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia, Botswana, Johannesburg, China, Greece and Turkey.  Most recently, Pastor Bobby has TToP partnered with Association Missions of Faith Ministries spreading the Gospel down the Amazon River.

Reach Out Center (ROC)

Pastor Daryl Russell

Pastor Daryl Russell was born and raised in Los Angeles, California.  Street ministry has always been his passion. He and a few of his Christian friends would go to Hollywood Boulevard to street witness, preaching and sharing the good news of the kingdom, where hundreds of people received Jesus right there on the streets.  In 1984 Pastor Daryl moved to Pomona, CA. where he formally studied the scriptures at Shield of Faith Bible College.  He later became an Associate Pastor of the Lords Place Church in Diamond Bar, CA. Pastor Daryl continued his street ministry in Pomona, performing Teen Outreach and ministering to Hispanic gangs.

In 1994, Pastor Daryl moved to Stone Mountain, GA and immediately began finding the lost, serving as a Chaplin for the Dekalb County Jail, ministering at Rescue Atlanta and numerous other churches and venues.  Pastor Daryl met the second largest influence in his life and became married in April of 2008 to Mary.  Together, they grew in Christ.  However, it was not until 2009 - fifteen years after moving to Stone Mountain, that he met Pastor Bobby Atkins.  Pastor Daryl had been sharing the vision of a Reach Out Center with Pastors in the Stone Mountain area.  Pastor Bobby was the only pastor that invited him to have the Reach Out Center at his church.

Under the shepherding of Pastor Bobby, in 2012, Pastor Daryl became an ordained minister of the Gospel.  Along with his wife, Mary, Pastor Daryl leads the Reach Out Center (ROC) at TToP.  This powerful ministry reaches out to the community, finding the lost where they are and providing safe harbor for many.  Because of their awesome message and passion for the younger generation, the Reach Out Center also sponsors the Young Adult Ministry.

Worship Pastor

Carl Ellis

Carl Ellis, Jr. is married to Faye Ellis and is the father of five children, Arnez, Shawn, Jonathan, Dana, and Myles.  He also has eight grandchildren.  Pastor Ellis was born in Jersey City, NJ to Bishop Carl Ellis, Sr. and wife, Jessye. He is the third oldest of twelve children.   In 1968, his father opened the doors to the House of Prayer Church in Jersey City, NJ.  With twelve children, they all had their share of responsibilities in the house of the Lord.  One Sunday, Carl said to his Father that he heard a voice say to him, “go to the organ and play.”   Since Carl had no musical experience, his Father told him not to do it.   However, the young boy made his way to the organ.  The anointing and power of the Holy Ghost fell upon him and he began to play.  Eventually, Carl became the musician for the church, and supported the ministry faithfully for many years.

Pastor Carl relocated to North Carolina in the early 1980s.  He served as minister of music for many years at several churches in the Sanford, Raleigh-Durham, Rocky Mount area. Many churches have called upon his musical talents when they have needed assistance. He has been asked to accompany many pastors, soloists, and choirs.  When he moved to Georgia in 2010, he continued to serve as a  minister of music, and to glorify God through music and worship.

Pastor Carl was called to preach the Gospel at an early age.  He was licensed as a Minister through the House of Prayer Church in NJ.  He was ordained as Elder in 1998 through Deliverance Temple of Truth Holy Churches, Inc., Greensboro, NC, under the leadership of Bishop Ralph D. Graves.  God has anointed him to preach, teach, sing, encourage, etc. in the spirit of excellence.  In January of 2018, the Lord led Pastor Ellis to Truth Tabernacle of Praise, Stone Mountain, GA, where his sincere passion and love for music and people, can be witnessed every Sunday and Wednesday during worship services.
